Ship Monitor by JDS is an ESA BIC North Germany incubatee (Project MeasPos) developing purpose-built GNSS integrity sensors for the maritime industry. Our edge device monitors signals near ports and fairways, flags jamming/spoofing events within seconds, and feeds actionable alerts into your VTS/ port OPS or fleet platforms.

Why it matters

  • Safety & compliance: Protect navigation, pilots, and critical port infrastructure.
  • Operational continuity: Early warnings reduce downtime, diversions, and claims.
  • Evidence you can trust: Time-stamped, forensically traceable records for audits and insurers.

What we’re building

  • European hardware (designed and assembled in the EU) with multi-constellation support (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou; regional: QZSS, NavIC).
  • Anomaly engine: Jamming/spoofing scoring, thresholds, and confidence levels.
  • Open outputs: MQTT/HTTPS, JSON/Parquet to your SIEM, VTS, or data lake.
  • Secure by design: TLS, signed firmware, role-based access.
*SIEM (Security Information and Event Management)

How it works

  1. Sense: Multi-band GNSS front-end captures raw observables at high rate.
  2. Verify: Algorithms compare signals across constellations, time, and location.
  3. Alert: If thresholds trip, the device pushes real-time alerts (API/webhook) and stores evidence for post-event analysis.
  4. Correlate: Multiple sensors form a triangulation network to localize interference sources.
